Lettermint Mail
Lettermint is a Dutch service for transactional mail that keeps it inside Europe. With one line in brewless.yml a deploy sets it up for the environment.
By Lettermint, the Netherlands. Brewless sets this up on a deploy.
What Brewless does
A project per application
A deploy makes a Lettermint project in your own Lettermint account, with a sending token for that one environment and the domain it sends from.
The token never at Brewless
The token goes straight into your own Secret Manager as LETTERMINT_PROJECT_TOKEN. Brewless keeps the name of the secret, never the token.
DNS after your yes
The records Lettermint asks for are named on the plan of the deploy and written only after you agree, into a DNS zone Brewless manages.
Only adds
A project you already have is used as it stands, a DMARC policy you chose is never replaced, and MX records are never touched.
What you do
- Connect a Lettermint Team API token that may write, on the Providers page.
- Add lettermint/lettermint-laravel to your application.
- Say mail: lettermint for the environment in brewless.yml.
In your project
environments:
production:
mail: lettermint
Questions
- Does Brewless see my mail?
- No. Your application sends straight to Lettermint with its own token. Brewless sets the project up and reads what the console shows from Lettermint when you open it.
- Can I keep a Lettermint project I already have?
- Yes. A project that already exists is used as it stands; Brewless only adds what is missing.
